Wouldn’t it be nice to have a simple, go-to tool you can use anytime to release stress, calm your nervous system, and clear pent‑up emotional energy? Something you can do in just a few minutes—no equipment, no appointments, no perfect conditions required?

That tool exists, and it’s called EFT Tapping.

At first glance, tapping might sound a little hocus pocus. Tapping on your face and body to feel better? Really? But EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a powerful mind‑body practice that blends ancient energy wisdom with modern neuroscience—and it has the ability to profoundly transform how you feel, think, and show up in your life.

What Is EFT Tapping?

Beginner EFT Tapping Script for Stress & Anxiety

(5–7 minutes)

Tapping is something anyone can learn—even kids. You don’t need to do it perfectly. 


 

Before You Begin

Take a moment to notice how you’re feeling right now.

You don’t need to change anything—just notice.

Rate your stress or anxiety from 0–10 (0 = calm, 10 = very stressed).


We’ll check back in at the end.


 

Setup Statement

(Tap on the side of your hand – the “karate chop” point)


Repeat this 3 times:

“Even though I feel stressed and anxious right now,
I choose to be kind to myself and allow my body to calm.”


Tapping Through the Points

Tap gently with two fingers. One side of the body is enough.

 

1. Top of the Head

“This stress in my body.”

2. Eyebrow

“All this anxiety I’m carrying.”

3. Side of the Eye

“So much pressure and tension.”

4. Under the Eye

“I feel overwhelmed.”

5. Under the Nose

“My mind keeps racing.”

6. Chin

“It feels hard to relax.”

7. Collarbone

“This stress feels heavy right now.”

8. Under the Arm

“I’ve been holding onto this for a while.”

Shift Toward Calm

Now continue tapping another round, gently shifting the focus.


Top of the Head

“I’m open to feeling calmer.”


Eyebrow

“I don’t have to carry this all.”


Side of the Eye

“My body is allowed to relax.”


Under the Eye

“I am safe in this moment.”


Under the Nose

“I can slow my breath.”


Chin

“I can soften my thoughts.”


Collarbone

“I’m letting some of this stress go.”


Under the Arm

“I choose a little more ease.”



Reaffirm Safety & Control

Final round—slow and grounding.


Top of the Head

“I’m here. I’m okay.”


Eyebrow

“This moment is manageable.”


Side of the Eye

“I can handle what comes next.”


Under the Eye

“I trust myself.”


Under the Nose

“I don’t need all the answers right now.”


Chin

“Peace is available to me.”


Collarbone

“I’m coming back into balance.”


Under the Arm

“I choose calm.”


 

Closing

Take a slow breath in through your nose…..then a long breath out through your mouth.

Notice if your body feels a little lighter or calmer.

Check in again.

Rate your stress or anxiety from 0–10.

Even a small shift matters.



Gentle Reminder

You can repeat this script anytime—before bed, before a meeting, or when your mind feels loud.

Your body listens when you tap. Your nervous system remembers how to settle.

Stress doesn’t mean something is wrong with you.

It means your nervous system and energy body are asking for support.
